About VCS

A Version Control System is also called source control or revision control system. It is a software application that traces and handles modifications to a file system. The VCS also provides some interactive applications that exchange and integrate these modifications to other VCS users. A VCS will trace all the additions, modifications, deletions implemented on a file system. VCS is commonly used by a team of developers so that each member of the team can share source codes and contribute to the project in a whole.

During the lockdown, students who need to complete semester projects. Without CVS, sharing code through email, Viber, Messenger or other apps may be possible, but combining project files, tracking additions, deletions, differences will be very difficult. These difficulties can be overcome by using CVS.
